Hello

I would like to install a swivel seat on the drivers side of my 1999 Chevy express conversion van.  I have one on the passengers side already, however the drivers side has electric adjustments for moving the seat forward, back etc.  (the passenger side was manual) Has anyone done this type of install?

Thanks

The adjusting part is part of the seat and rails that attach to a mounting plate (just like the manual seat you already did).
Steps:
Disconnect battery negative
disconnect harness under seat
Unbold seat from existing raised mount and set aside (like you did for the manual seat)
Remove the base from the floor
Bolt swivel base to floor
Bolt seat to swivel base
Here is where it may get tricky as in how long are the electrical leads for the seat? They may need to be extended (or not).
make electrical connection to seat
Check seat swivel and adjust movement for how it interacts with the electrical wire. For sure you will never want to swivel the seat 360 degrees. If you rotate the seat 180 degrees to face the back, rotate the seat back in the direction you moved it from. You don't want to wrap the electrical wires around the base. Blown fuse would be the least of your problems.
But ground wire back on battery
Test adjustments while keeping an eye on the electrical harness
NEVER SWIVEL the SEAT 360 DEGREES AFTER DOING THIS. Caps for emphasis, not shouting.

Just thought, probably easier to check how much slack you have in the wiring harness going to the seat before touching anything. This will let you know beforehand if the harness has to be lengthened.

Thank you so much for the info.
