I painted it-by hand-not spray. Yes, you can tell it is not a professional paint job. Fairy tail pictures will be painted on it.
She's almost ready to roll. Needs bearing packed, brakes checked and new tires. Bumper needs changed but is usable. Hitch needs de rusted and painted. Needs baby moons.
I have done most everything myself, Jim has done a professional job on rewiring and upgraded breaker boxes.
Some people renovate these oldies as close to original as possible. This is mine to do with as I please and I am creating a little magical kingdom with it. It makes me happy and I live in my head most of the time with little creatures and fairys and gnomes anyway. I was often in trouble all thu school because of my imagination. Now no one can tell me to grow up. They can but I just don't give a rats arss anymore.
Trailer cost 500.00 To date costs because I used scrounged material-except paint up to 750 or so dollars total. The final money's will be more with tires etc.
Would I do it again? Probably not. It has become a canvas for my art and I am glad I have done this.
@ Michelle The mosaic is going directly on the trailer floor where you see it.

Dragonfly

You're doing a great job with it. Keep up the good work.

@ blk I am not admitting defeat but I am putting off the axel/brakes etc. on Little Sanitee. It is to much financially and emotionally and time wise to finish out now. I picked up an older 1972 (year I graduated HS) vintage Shasta that is structurally closer to being ready.

I am once again dealing with damages to the house I have that the land contract fell thru on and that is draining me.
I'm usually upbeat and will continue to be. Just one foot in front of the other and deal with problems as they come.
I can get the little 10 foot Compact ready to be on the road soon. I have been talking with Travelfriend about possibly meeting up with her and caravanning, I won't be ready to go till after Christmas, she may be taking off sooner.

My plans depend on the other house. I am so glad I rented out my little farmhouse downstairs to someone who is responsible and splits the bills with me. She helps me take care of everthing and I am able to get away for extended times.
Don't you wish you could ask a woman a simple question like diane; did you get your "axle" yet .... blkjak and get a simple answer?

"financial comics" seem to never end; my plans are on hold until i win the lottery .... blkjak

I really should start another thread about the joys and rewards of home ownership and how to make lots of money being a landloard. Unfortunately I don't have any of the experiences or joy or lots of money although I do have rental property. Many of you may have read about my land contract falling into disaster. The land Contractors, LC's, sold the property (2500.00 down payment) to unsuspecting young people with kids, AKA friggin' slobs but nice.
I let the slobs stay, they hadn't had time to trash the place when I found out about the sale of the property and didn't have time to deal with much and they were paying the rent.
Long story shortened. Slobs are moving out, today I go over to do a walkthru the house. Can't get in so I started mowing the hayfield in the front yard and picking up debris. I walk out back and sorry to say, I did use the big F a lot as I surveyed the trash left for me. It is a long 1 acre property in the woods, very beautiful with a park like setting other than the tires and car parts and huge stack of wet particle board.
I follow the broken bottles to an alcove with an overturned old couch on top of something. Low and behold, what do I find when I push the couch off the pile but a stolen yellow Suzuki crotch rocket.
Below are the pictures of the motorcycle with the couch on it, the couch shoved off and the chiseled out ignition and cut wires. Click to enlarge, I resized them to save space here.
I called the police and it had been reported stolen in July of this year. It had current plates.
Police just left around 6:30 tonight with the motorcycle on a flatbed.
My life is much more interesting than I want it to be.
Dragonfly

BF- AH yes, the joys of being a landlord ...I literally gave away my last rental property to insure that I would not take a life....sold the prior one for half it's value and I have never regretted either.
Hang in there, look fwd to the days when you are free.
Hope the trailer works out, and you can hit the road soon.

Sorry about your hardships. It's amazing how awful and disrespectful people can be to others and their property. I can truly feel your pain. Tood luck.
Rae

Yep, you could deal w/ a bit of mundane in your life. So sorry for your troubles.

@ blk "diane" Ohhh Noooo! You blew my cover, now the witness prtection program will have to move me.

@karl After getting into the place yesterday, I am considering something drastic. Luckily I have enough contol to keep the scenarios only in my mind, I think.

Everyone else, thanks for the support and encouragement.
