Hi Guys I'm posting this under newbie even though I have posted before , my message is simple if this is a life you want do it Now! I struggled with family demands taking care of others etc I live in Massachusetts but was so desperate to start the life that I moved into my small class c kinda of Urban boondocking! Nothing could make me regret that decision I've been happy and content even when waking up in my frozen igloo after 5 years of thinking planning I've made the first step. Well about 2 weeks ago I could barely breath and went to Hospital stayed a few days was released told bbn I have pneumonia they have some pills and se and t me home a week later I couldn't walk 10ft without stopping to rest so off to hospital told same thing ER doc wanted to release me at midnight I refused. After more tests it was discovered I had blood/ fluids between the Heart and Protective sack. Then another Doctor comes in and after testing he is sure I have Lung Cancer and found a spot in my throat. I wont have all the details till more testing this week. Please follow your Dreams dont be like me and have resentments & Regrets! Using my phone sorry for any typos. Peace!

I’m sorry for your troubles. And cancer is no longer a death sentence although please go to a different doctor/hospital. I don’t think you are getting good care. It sounds like they don’t know what they’re doing and it’s a good chance it’s not as serious as they say.
You’ll get through this. I will keep you in my prayers.

Welcome nomadsharpener to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

For those like me who need to work a few more years before hitting the road full time, follow your dreams on weekends and vacations. It helps with the wanderlust and also with getting all systems down pat before the full-time launch.

nomadsharpener, I have you in my thoughts and prayers and may you get to hit the road between treatments.

Hey there, I am in the Boston area for the foreseeable future. If you're in the hospital let me know where and I'll come visit.

Fortunately the East Coast has some excellent cancer care facilities. Some places might even have the option of living in an RV while taking treatment. Not all of them do but there are support advocates around who volunteer to help people find assistance of that type. Be brave, reach out, accept help from the community. There are many persons who have walked the road you are on before you did. They can be your mentors and your support system. You will find them if you seek them.
