Chair or no chair?

I also have arm covers over each arm that have handy pockets on both the inside and outside to keep things handy.

I highly recommend a full cloth cover or cushion though, because the leather is always either hot or cold at the wrong times.

Now that's a fancy van chair. I like it!

Sometimes I throw a pillow onto one of my storage bins, but usually I just sit in my bed, with my back against the window or cabinet. Or if I'm not being stealth, sometimes I just sit in the passenger seat, which doesn't swivel.

Now that I'm looking at taking a "sleeper compartment" approach using a minivan, I may experiment with leaving the smaller 3rd-row bench seat up and situating my cot next to it. After all, the seat's already been designed with the correct height in mind, and it's one less chair I have to buy....and when I want it to go away, I'll simply retract it.

Yep, sounds like a plan.

I have an 8 foot counter top in my van right now and with my bed folded up I can't sit at the edge of the bed and use the counter top. I don't have room for a chair.
So I'm considering making a smaller section with a fold up leaf, maybe 24" wide and only deep enough to make that area suitable to sit at the bed and work.

As I get closer to having the van livable it's becoming painfully apparent that space is PRECIOUS!
