I could go look at it if it were not email only, I hate those. lol

I have to admit, I love the Denver craigslist.

Kinda strange how short they kept it...i mean whats the point of that big ole powerful truck and then put basically a big truck camper on it.

I like how he says with the conversion it costs $349,000 but is asking $369,000... Don't think that's gonna roll over too well.

I could buy a luxury Class A for that cost and have enough money to buy a Tesla to use as my power station and just camp near Tesla charge stations! Do everything on battery for eva.

Yeah he got ripped off hard on that conversion...you can get double slide out truck camper basically the same thing for less than 30k. Its probably roomier.

Speculate that is true for many. Seems to be no real aggressive shopping for true comparison value. A lot of quick buying to the inexperienced, being sold by the well experienced sales force. $30,000 tiny houses. $80,000 RVs. Really folks you need to consider your lifestyle if you go that path.

I think the person meant the truck costs $200,000 by itself and the conversion was an additional $349,000, for a total of $549,000 and he is selling it for $369,000.

I do not know if $200,000 new for the truck was a reasonable price....it is definitely a big ass truck. It can probably tow 60,000 pounds or something ridiculous.

$349,000 for the conversion sounds like too much but it does seem to have a lot of custom fiberglass or something. This is not a vehicle you are going to live in down by the river but rather something you are going to haul your $500,000 race cars to the track or show.

As a comparison, we have spent about $30,000 on our camper (rough estimate although I have receipts to total) but we did EVERYTHING ourselves including painting it. Probably will be another $7,000 for the garage pod when all is said and done (automotive paint and truck bed liner is not cheap). We bought a used truck, but a brand new Isuzu NRR with 20 foot flatbed is about $60,000.

We probably have about 3000 man hours into our build. If you were to hire this out at $20 per hour, that is $60,000 labor.

Still, $549,000 seems very expensive.

Mmm, a used Prevost bus coach still goes for up to $1,500,000.

Like I said, I think this particular "RV" is meant for pulling high end race cars or similar.

Check out Prevost-stuff.com and see what you can buy for the price of this rig. Also, in 2011 I purchased (for my company's use) a Volvo 780 tractor brand new, with every option available at the time including leather, heated and massage seats for $162,388, so $200,000 for a Freightliner seems really high. Could be some salesmanship going on there.
