Starting Sunday you can have Unlimited talk/text and data for $70 a month with Cricket. $65 a month with auto pay.

Cricket is throttled to 8 Mbps, uses AT&T's native network and this plan does not allow for use of a hotspot or tethering.

I have the 10 gig plan for the same price but it includes tethering which I need. Honey streams music and video on the phone so we may have one on each plan.

how's there customer service. even though AT&T'S go phone customer service is in a third world country i have never had any problems with them!! and even if they can't figure something out or get something to work then they will escalate the problem to someone in america now thats service compared to someone like strait talk whos customer service was total garbage when i had em. but i heard they improved there customer service but i dunno..

it also makes me wonder if AT&T is trying to push everyone over to cricket since it's owned by AT&T and since they don't advertise go phone service that much ( prob because they want everyone on a post paid acct since they make more profit vs pre paid accts )..

That's cool but I don't think I will be upgrading my plan unless I start needing to upload a lot more large files and am too impatient to wait for the throttled connection. .

I'm paying $55/mo for cricket 10gb. $65 is certainly better than what I was paying for a UDP with Verizon but no tethering? I'm not sure how they would enforce such a thing, especially on a GSM network that allows pretty much any device,, verizon claimed you had to pay extra to tether for the longest time but I never payed for it and tethered a fair bit.

One thing I like about Cricket is on the limited plans they just throttle you back after you're over your data cap like Straight Talk does.

I don't use Cricket CS often but have had no issues on the phone, in a store or via chat.

Tethering, how can they tell? By looking at your data and usages. Some think they can hide it but the files sent to a computer are different from those that are used on a phone. those that are busted can have their plan changed or loose it.

They have also added that unlimited isn't unreasonable usage. They may also throttle after a certain level like they can on the AT&T plan. In fact the Cricket unlimited plan is pretty much the mini me of the AT&T plan. Less expensive, no roaming, slower speed and no DirecTv needed.

OUCH no roaming on cricket  . i know on go phone you can roam through WY and NE even though the service is sketchy in some places it's to be expected.. i didn't ask my friend if AT&T allows data usage while roaming my guess would be no..

Straight Talk customer service is still total garbage.  I recently had to terminate with them because I couldn't get a problem solved due to their totally inadequate customer service employees.  Went back to Consumer Cellular but know I will have to switch eventually, so Cricket may be an option.

iv'e seen the cricket bashing t-mobile commerical

I signed up for cricket a few years ago when they were offering a $100 rebate. They screwed me and never gave the rebate. I called them for weeks until I gave up and left their service. They lost me as a customer for ever. Their service outside of cities is bad.
