Has anyone installed a CR Laurence FW904RS window (http://bit.ly/2yunP8U) to the sliding door of your Chevy? Our vehicle is a 2005 3500 Cargo.

The window's measurements match, but I wanted to see if anyone has had first-hand experience. Even though the measurements check out, CR Laurence says it will not fit the sliding door. But I've spoken to several window installers who say they can install it on the sliding door.

I think it has something to do with the sliding door's center support metal. The manufacturer says it will not fit because they don't want you cutting the center support metal ... even though it's actually doable. Any thoughts?

The OEM windows for the sliding door leave the center support you'd have to cut out to install that window.

Right. Do you see any cons with cutting out the center support in the passenger-side sliding door?

I'm seeing people do it on Sprinters without issues, but haven't seen anyone do it on a Chevy. Thoughts?
