Hi all,
While I'm wiring up and connecting all of the components of my solar system, should I cover the solar panels, so that the electricity being generated isn't going to fry me while I'm still wiring stuff together? I was thinking maybe to just throw a dark cover over the panels while I'm working.

Secondly, the order that I was going to work is as follows:
1. wire the solar panels to the charge controller (12 gauge wiring)
2. wire the charge controller to the batteries (12 gauge wiring)
3. wire the batteries together (4 gauge wiring)
4. and finally, wire the batteries to the inverter (4 gauge wiring)

Is this order OK, or should I do this in a different order? Thanks everyone.
