Link??

I don't know about a link, but just go to Amazon and look for a spdt relay. There are several different amp ratings,I went with the 30 amp.Be sure to get one with nc contacts.

Ya gotta give this to me in electrical 101... :D

What are nc contacts?

Actually, that should read dpst double pole(two sets of contacts)single throw(switch is either on or off)with nc (one set of contacts are closed when the relay is not energized).Energzing the coil breaks this set of contacts and connects the other set. When the genny fires up the 120v coil is energized breaking the house connection to the inverter and shifting it to the generator. When the genny stops, the coil is de-energized and drops the contacts back to close the house circuit to the inverter.Hope this helps.

Ha, in a weird sort of way it does...my eyes didn't glaze over or roll back in my head so I must be getting somewhere with this stuff... :p

Your explanation actually made sense.. :)

I printed it off and will insert it in the section of my planning binder set aside for all things electrical.

Thanks Bob

You are using the relay as a transfer switch. It must be a double throw? Un-energized = contact set 1; Energized = contact set 2. Be careful switching while there is a load on your circuits. Transfer switches normally switch to off in a delay between changes. on1-off-on2.
