If you make a typo do you just backspace and throw the letter and your previous effort away, or do you try and re-use it somewhere else in your message? Any other ideas on going green in the digital world?

highdesertranger, I think this may be an attempted spam set up. I don't think I've seen you onboard here for a while.
dragonfly

i've been around lurking mostly i try to post when i have the knowledge to help out. sometime it does not always work that way, but i try. highdesertranger

I think it is kind of a weird question too so I guess I'm not the only one.

Just curious how you identified them as a spammer? I searched for embedded links, etc. did you find some?

It's off beat enough to trigger thoughts of spam. I interpret it as they are just having fun asking if you recycle used digital letters (characters) or just throw them away.

Thinking green digitally - cool!

Quite a conversation developed from a one post wonder....

Funny post. I have learned that backspacing over letters returns them to the digital bank. So rest assured you are still green if you backspace ;-)

@OnTheRoadAgain. I never knew that backspace recycled. Is this new since windows gave in to the digital green revolution and changed the trash can to a recycle bin a few years back? I wish google would catch on and recycle our e-mails instead of throwing them in the trash. I hope you are right, as I was saving a bank with loads of the letter X, Q, and Z when my kids smacked the keyboard, which I was going to cut and paste below to donate to the community, but I guess if they are recycled I feel OK about that. Although reduce and reduce are always superior to recycle despite what the media may say or emphasize...
