I have a bunch of LED strips that are flickering and stay on if I wiggle them; I assume these means the wiring connections are bad ( and hopefully not crappy lights or a bad acdc converter). The strips, which prob have 20 gauge coming out of them, attach to 12 gauge wire I already put in. I had wrapped the 20 gauge pretty good around the 12 then liquid rubbered it, so I'm kinda perplexed why it appears to not be connecting. No twist nut I've found keeps them together. Help!

That is why crimped connectors are recommended.

In that case, twist together a 1 1/2 inch tail, then slip it in a connector and crimp it. Snip off the end and liquid tape it.

How come you have a Ac to Dc convertor in a RV?
Run positive and negative 12 volts from your battery to the lights and see what happens , if they still flicker try a different light strip connected to the battery.

what I have done is to strip double or triple the amount of insulation off the smaller wire and fold it over until it will fit the size of connector you need. granted this is not the best method but it works. a better method is to terminate the wires in a terminal block and branch them out from there. highdesertranger
