Hi guys. I have a fifth wheel I'm adding a Xantrex Prosine2 inverter/charger to. All seems easy enough. I opened the breaker box and disconnected the shore power line, then rerouted it to where the inverter will go. Also ran a new line (10 gauge) from the inverter to the breaker box. The ground and neutral are bonded in the breaker box.

My concern is (not blowing up the inverter ) that on page 55 of the manual, I put a link here to it, it says there is an option of always leaving the neutral and the ground unbonded withing the inverter. The other option is to have the inverter bond them as soon as it detects shore power, in my case this would be %98 of the time a generator.

I read there that neutral should only be bonded to ground in one place at any given time. If I set the inverter to bond the neutral and the ground when the generator is on, this would effectively have them bonded in two places, the breaker box and the inverter, right?

I think I should just leave the inverter constantly unbonded but I would rather ask than regret my actions.

Any thoughts? I hope my rant made sense.

Also I do need to connect it's ground to the chassis, right?
