Has anyone tried using a collapsible spa bathtub for bathing in their vehicle? Something like this, that can comfortably hold an adult but get folded down and stored away when not in use: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0... happy life&qid=1446774073&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

I'm trying to think of bathing solutions that don't require buying a gym membership or relying on sponge baths/wet wipes every day. I guess the challenge with this would be getting enough water to fill it? Or draining it without flooding the van? (And maybe even having space to set it up?)

I think it's a great idea but as you pointed out the drawbacks probably make it prohibited. maybe someone has ideas on how to overcome those.

how much water does that hold? I think that's the main obstacle to this. now if you were to use it for a shower pan and use a pressure sprayer for the shower, that might work. highdesertranger

Tankless water heater like the EccoTemp L5 (just hook up to a water hose and 20LB LP tank). Place the tub inside a tent. I think you would be better off using this in a campground (or similar) where you can have a water pipe stand.

Showers are cheap and easy to install, even in a low top van. I use under a gallon of water per shower. They can be left up or collapsed when not in use.

I use a small storage tote to catch the water, which my toilet also sits in. It's about 24" x 30". My shower curtain consists of a hula hoop for the shower curtain rod, and normal shower curtain & hooks. I hang this from a luggage bar running across the van. It is also my toilet privacy curtain. I usually collapse it down to on top of the toilet when not in use.

A shower only for this old dog.  I haven't taken a sit-down bath in fifty years.  Horrid waste of water, and all that water is heavy - approximately 8 lbs per gallon.
