Bob stated that had two Olympic heaters, one smaller BTU than the other. When it was winter time he kept the heaters on 24/7 the whole of the winter. Even then he had a thick build up of frost inside of his rig. When it warmed up it rained on him and he had to constantly mop and soak up the water that dripped off the ceilings and ran down the wall.

As to not insulating the floor if you watched his recent videos on keeping warm he states that he wore insulated boots and insulated slippers. In other words he insulates his feet to keep them warm. Remember he is all about cheapRVliving. Insulating a dwelling space takes time and money.

Bob is Bob and his choices are made based on his own needs and his own finances and construction abilities.

If you have the head space and the funds then insulation on the floor is nice. It keeps the temperature more comfortable and it reduces noise. You will have to decide for yourself if the payback is worth it for you. But you would want to do it before you install cabinets. Or you could create a flooring of the insulating puzzle mats over the top of original van floor. Those will also deaden the sound and give you insulation. They are easy to remove and replace if they get worn. You can also take them outside and hose them off now and again.

I really like them for that reason. Super easy on your feet and joints, too.
