hmmm... this is a VERY interesting video. Makes ya think don't it? eh?..

I'm having great luck with pcsforpeople.org if you are under their earnings cap. $10 per month if you pay by the year + the cost of their hotspot. $10 per month and I have never noticed being slowed down. Can't get on some evenings when the towers are overloaded during First Monday Weekends. Town of 5,000 gets 200,000 visitors to the world famous flea market.
I know some people can't live with Sprint but it works great for me.

Right now it looks like Cricket (ATT network), using one of their phones set up for hotspot can get you a reasonable amount of internet for $70/month (includes the $10/month hot spot fee). They say the hot spot slows down after 10gb... https://www.cricketwireless.com/
Get rid of the hot spot and save 10 bucks a month.  Use PDAnet and turn your phone into a hot spot.

I'm not looking for ways to get around paying my fair share.

*shrugs* My phone, I pay for the bandwidth. I'll use it how I see fit.

I still have AT&T unlimited internet hotspot for $20 a month. They gave me a little box about the size of a phone. Works fine

I don’t know John. I did it a few months ago.

Have you got a link or a search string for the name of that specific plan?

Nope but the device reads ZTE on the back.

I did a google search for $20 AT&T hotspot and a lot came up. Mostly people talking about it on various other forums. We can’t mention other forums here so you’ll have to find it yourself

Or just call AT&T. I don’t think they ever sleep

He is probably talking about the ZTE mobley..no longer offered.

Regular CS has no clue.

The mobley adaptations are just as grey market as the flashed VZW ones.

Nothing grey market about the ZTE Mobley, and an inane comparison. It is a device that AT&T offered to activate on the $20 Connected Car unlimited plan. That plan is no longer available for the Mobley.

It is when being used for purposes other than they intended.

Which abuse is why it was halted.

They expect to get $50-$100 / mo per device for heavy streaming.

MVNOs and specialist resellers are IMO only way to go for the top two networks, not the mothership direct.

My ZTE device isn’t the Mobley. I bought it legally from AT&T and pay $20 a month.

everything is GREY/illegal/etc
the 2 that started this mess are less than honest to ban discussion about anything- they themselves likely use every trick available inappropriate or not
