Don't sure exactly where to post this so hope it's in the right place.  I am traveling through Oregon all summer, both inland and coast, and looking for recommendations for cheapest places to camp w a 27ft TT along the coast. Don't get me wrong, I would love inland recommendations also.  However, it appears there are quite a number of inland options.    I prefer not to relocate more than one a week.  I spent 2004 in Oregon but that was a very long time ago and stayed in RV parks so I am basically a newbie to cheap RV Oregon camping.

I sampled free casino parking last summer. Plenty of free parking if you don't mind squeezing in among the masses of other free camping seekers! Do you have the freecampsites.net app? They're on there. The State Parks are also good and plenty, but of course not free. Forest Service camps are all slightly inland but much cheaper, especially if you're old enough to hold a federal parks interagency pass, which gives you half off.

Thanks for the response.  I do have freecampsite app and national park old fart pass but still looking for specific recommendations on places close to the cloast.

Along the Oregon coast you can always go up into the coast range and camp. Along the northern coast I would recommend going inland along the Nehalem or Wilson Rivers - both have county 'minimual cost' and state parks 'more expensive' along the rivers as well as forest service roads you can follow for the perfect 'free' place.

Coastal camping in Oregon is not cheap...if you are willing to go inland a bit (and travel to the coast for day trips) there are, as mentioned, a lot of reasonable choices. Casinos won't let you stay for free for a week, so not a really good choice for more than a night or possibly two. You can't stealth camp in a TT, so your choices are more limited.

If you go to the north coast, I can recommend the Port of Tillamook Bay RV Park @$15/night. That's about as cheap as it gets and you are close to the coast.

State Parks here are great, but they fill up quickly in the summer (most have reservations), and the crowds are brutal.

I can also recommend Campendium and Allstays as alternatives to freecampsites.net. I use all three.

Good luck and enjoy Oregon!
