Hl, im william. Im a carpenter with 40 yrs experience.3 yrs ago i quit building / remodeling houses, and started building busses for people. Still feeling unfulfilled, i bought a e-350 ambulance with the intentions of traveling and helping people with thier builds.

Welcome William,

Always great to see new people.. I have a question though..

you went from remodeling houses, to building out buses. and still feeling unfulfilled..
what gives you the idea that you will be fulfilled going on the road and doing the same thing?

I am just saying, maybe your going in the wrong direction for yourself.. Not trying to be rude

Welcome to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Rose is right....help as many people as i can...thats what i want to do...

Hello William, welcome to the forum. I’m almost jealous of you that you have the skills and the ability to help others in that way. I hope you find what you want in life it sounds like you’re headed in the right direction. Stick around and keep us posted on where you’re going and who you’re helping and pictures and everything else. Yours will be a very interesting story.

Welcome William,

I am just looking to change my life as well, I think you'll love the site, and I've learned a lot, and met some nice peeps on here.  I get to meet some in person this coming Monday.  I hope you stick around, and hope we both find a new life with the Nomads ;)

I don't see anything unusual about people being hard, workers, maybe earning good money, having children etc. etc., and feeling unfulfilled.  I also know some of us are doing the exact same thing, looking for something more in life, so again I'll welcome you William, and I so hope you will stick around.  Maybe even head out to one of the gatherings they have here, meet some folks in person, that's what I can't wait to do ;)

It has been my experience that whatever our special skill was/is, we carry that with us wherever we go and the universe provides us with opportunities to use/apply it.

I have met many people from all kinds of professions, who find a volunteer niche that is perfect for what they have to offer and/or simply encounter others whose lives can be improved in some way by the skills they carry with them on the road.

I know a man who was an aeronautical engineer whose volunteer work in retirement is designing and crafting individual-specific adaptive devices for handicapped children.

I believe we often encounter others because that was meant to be.

A carpenter helping nomads create liveable space?

Priceless.

Welcome to the forum William!

Will be interested in hearing of the ins and outs of doing a conversion on your ambulance. First tell us why you chose the ambulance over other rigs?

Thanks to everyone...i chose the ambulance for several reasons 1 they are well maintained 2. I could stand up in it 3 legendary 7.3 diesel motor.... Very reliable 4 price....i got it for 1600.00.bucks 5. It a 1 ton van which can easily support the build without any negative affects to the vehicle..

Wow William, Nice grab.. Now that there is more information, I completely understand you.. Helping people can make you feel whole.. And I think you will find that Karma is a real thing

Wow William whoever crosses your path will be lucky indeed. I understand that feeling of wanting to have a purpose in life beyond just work. I think most of us do.
Have fun and meet lots of people.
