At this point in my life, I am going over my mental bucket list.  What I always wanted to do.

Most of it has been taken care of.  Some things will never happen, such as seeing Angkor Wat, but I am fine with that.  My kids don't hate me, and neither do half of my ex wives.   :p

Anyway, this was brought on by seeing a story of the 102 year old that was "arrested" as one of her wishes.  She had never been handcuffed or had a ride in the back of a police car.  The police made her day with that obvious publicity action.

What is on your bucket list?

My only real bucket list item is to wander more. Like you, I'm facing an uncertain medical future (my right leg is a tremendous mess and will need more surgery in the future), so I really just want to wander until I can't wander any more.

Good question and I hope your condition improves. Sort of knowing my life expectancy does give me pause for thought. I am estranged from one of my older kids and would like to get that to a better place. I haven't figured out how to do it yet but I am working on it.

Travel abroad with no itinerary but realistically that won't happen.

Touch bases with some friends from the military who I haven't seen in years.

Live long enough to see my youngest graduate from med school but that won't happen.

Given time I could think of more, but I have led a pretty full life with few regrets.

My bucket list includes one thing right now...GET MY ASS OUTTA HERE!

After that and I get my head on straight, I'd like to ring the coast line of Michigan taking pictures of the lighthouses. Make a run down the eastern seaboard doing the same. I love food so I'll tie that into my travels when I can for local cuisine. There are people I wish to visit or meet so that will give a purpose to my travels as well.

There are some American History and military museums I want to see.
I want to visit a free Cuba and see Papa Hemingway's boat.
I want to visit the aircraft boneyard out west. Probably some USAF birds there I worked on back in the day.
I want to take a windjammer cruise, and maybe a Caribean Cruise, without being owned by the Navy this time.
I want to visit family spread among various states.

Nice.  I visited family when I was on my Walkabout.
I am glad I was able to do it.  Especially now.

The airplane boneyard is extremely impressive from a distance.

I remember a hundred years ago in a prior century people used to joke that they wanted to live long enough to become a burden for their children.  I think children were more reliable then.

The Pima Air & Space Museum in Tucson is fantastic.  http://www.pimaair.org/

I will not go back to Cuba.  The grinding poverty and ravages of communism have have fundamentally changed the place and the people.  At my age there aren't enough years for that to be healed.  Long ago I thought I would go back when everyone got a touch tone phone and had all the food they wanted.  I think they will bypass touch tone and go direct from rotary dial to smart phone, 9G - XYZ by then.

I guess if I had to specify where I want to wander, mostly NM and the PNW. There's a park in Oregon that's full of ferns, I really want to see that.

I have so many things on my bucket list but I'm ok if I don't get to them. I believe that once I get out of my bricks and sticks and get out of the corporate world so I can travel and live a free life then I'll be able to get to a lot of them.

So I guess the top of my list is to take control of my dreams, follow through with living free and the rest will come together.

I have an amazing future in store for me! :)

Too many things to list here - we don't have enough bandwidth.... :p

I've sworn for years that I will have to live to be a 150 to even come close to crossing everything off the bucket list.

No matter how hard I try, I cross 3 things off and find 4 more to add to the list!!

Cheli
That is an excellent attitude , that bucket list is already getting shorter...

I recently saw the story of the man in Israel who, at the age of 113, was going to Bar Mitzvah...having missed it the first time one hundred years earlier. Yeah....go!

I'm with Almost There, I keep adding things even while doing other stuff. I've been pretty blessed with an adventurist life, built around working really hard in the off times to pay for it. I guess my biggest priorities right at the moment are 1: get out of debt - it's getting closer, but still seems too far way. And 2: travel more, especially in foreign countries, but here in the good old USA also.

I added to mine today...

I want to go to the NASA Star Party in the Mojave desert.
