Thats a crazy story and I feel bad for you, but the moment I read that you ran from him, I knew the story was not going to end well. Honestly could have been worse, running from LEOs in most situations is an automatic felony and if there is a vehicle involved it could be seized. Unfortunately we don't live in a free world, so we have to act accordingly. LEO's are not above the law on paper, but they are in reality. I have learned the hard way over the years to just go along with their bull shit and save the fighting for the courtroom. They don't always know the law, but that won't stop them from trying to enforce their assumptions. If you wouldn't have ran the worst case scenario would have been a ticket that could have been thrown out in court.
