I have been reading a lot and seems that you are allowed to park for 72 hours without be fined ( but i think you never know and for sure you can be fined, but dont know. How are the laws now???) . So i have find these spots for overnight
- Sausalito (my best place as it is quite near to SF downtown and seems a quite place to sleep)
- Golden Park ( i have read that it is a kind of RV community sleeping there)
- Rest area (crystal spring or Norh Golden Gate)
- Oackland industrial area
- Palo Alto

As i travel with my family i would like to find the best and safest place
hoping somebody can help me
Thanks in advance

Hi. SF can be sketchy. Be careful and don’t leave your RV alone for long if at all. I’d park in Berkeley area if I was you. There’s a great spot I’ll post a map of it, right on the Bay w awesome views of Golden Gate Bridge. But, I wouldn’t leave it there either alone. The kids will love the beach! Dog friendly too. Oh I guess I don’t know how to post a pic on a reply message. I’ll try to send it to u some other way. Also there’s a guy on YouTube “Will Prowse” who does all these videos of living in a RV in SF. He’s ok, check him out.

I love staying at the GG bridge. It's a rest area, so you are free to stay. I always feel safe since bridge patrol and CHP cruise through regularly. It does cost you 7.00 each time you go back into the city for the bridge toll. I use FasTrak so It's 6.25. It can be loud, too, with wind and revelers. Cannot beat the view!!

I spend a lot of time in the park, never had an issue.

Have a wonderful time!

I have no direct experience, just what I've read. Palo Alto should be fine. Near Stanford University. 72hrs. Just south of PA is Mt. View. Areas around Shoreline Blvd and Centennial seem to be popular. The latter is near shopping.

If you plan on going into the city, both of these cities are around 30 min w/o traffic away.
