Straight up to " Ziggy Moon"............

So let me get this straight , you don't wish for Christian rhetoric to be censored , yet you'd pressure those who would rather not listen to it?

Rather seems like hypocrisy to me , and last I looked the Book warns against the evils of hypocrisy. I happen to agree with " Bob " as regards the fragmenting of the Body of Christ ( believers in toto) into a wide variety of denominations and outright cults.

That said , the basic reason I am no longer " Christian" is found in the behavior of socalled " Christians" who utterly fail to " walk it like they talk it" and quite frequently exhibit the same sort of bigotry and exclusionary rhetoric that you just did.

The literal translation of your words being summed up as " if ya ain't a Christian then you're crap and we should be able to say what we damn please but you can't because you're not a Christian."...

And " Bob's " comment about " well if I was talking about getting drunk" was not only highly judgemental ( something else warned against within The Book) it was assumptive in nature and in the end came across as rather snotty.

If this forum is going to be a vehicle for proselytising to the " unwashed " then let us all know , a bunch of us will leave.

And fair warning , you really don't want to open this can of worms with *me* , I've been through the mill with Christianity , carry advanced degrees in both religious studies and theology , I know The Book ( and the Quoran and Talmud) forward and back.....and if I can run Joyce Meyer off the stage in open debate at TCU in front of a full panel then you're gonna be way , way out of your depth.

Pertinent verses for you...............

" Judge not , lest ye be judged."

" Remove the log from thine own eye brother , prior to worrying about the mote in anothers"
