Hello from Western Kentucky!  I am an accountant longing for freedom from the stressful, draining, 8-to-5 (actually it's more like 8-??? and weekends). I share a home with my SO and our two yellow pups. We have a Ford F250 with a 1988 Sun-Lite Eagle riding piggyback. Since purchasing it in early 2019, we've made several repairs and a few modifications. Our dream is to semi-retire in four years so we can experience life behind the wheel instead of behind an office desk.  I look forward to learning new tips and tricks and conversing with like-minded souls here in this forum.

Western ky here too. Near Beaver Dam. Welcome

Welcome to the CRVL forums jillcpa12! Until you can actually semi-retire try to get away on the weekends to relax and test out your modifications. Keep us updated!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Madisonville? You have two more nomads there. If you want I can contact them and we can have a meet up at their place. She’s been bugging me to come over for some time. I see them a few times a year out west when we happen to be in the same area. They just got back from an Alaskan trip. PM me

Whoa!!! "Flatlanders" convention time!!! LOL!!! Sounds like fun!

Hello! A truck camper, yay! :) I'd love to see pics of your rig and setup. I am enjoying my truck camper life so far, knock on wood. I've been living in my 2007 F350 6.0 and 2013 Northstar 9.5 Igloo for a month now. I head out on the road on Wednesday!

Welcome to the CRVL  Forums   :)

Nothing sucks like being a corporate man with "average scale means" and "free time poverty".  I've been there and done that (see my profile story) Thank my lucky stars I had a Van early in life and learned creative ways to use it to beat the perpetual revolving door of corporate life, followed by the gold watch, and statistical 24 months of life expected to follow.
(just enough time to get one's house in order and then die,  so you won't be too much of a burden on the pension funds)

I only wish for you that you didn't have to be tied to the next four years behind a desk.   In the mean while check out the
bottom site in my signature below.  You can at least take virtual road trips using the Travel Planning sites in it.

Thanks for the links! I will check them out. As for the next four years, I plan to live frugally as if I am already living the nomad life while I eliminate all debt and sock away every extra penny that comes my way. :)
