When I was researching the idea of full-timing in an RV, I read everything I could find. I decided that I wanted a Class C, with a walk around bed and a "one piece bath", that is, a bathroom with toilet, shower, and sink in one separate room, with a door. I was single at the time, and considered the possibility that I would (someday) date again. I looked at dozens of RVs, Class As, Cs, and 5th wheels, just to see if I was thinking straight. PPL in Houston, Camping World in El Paso, and other dealerships let me look with a critical eye. I stuck with the C idea. When a C with the one piece bath but a corner bed showed up at a very good price, I bit.
After nearly 4 years of full-timing, I re-evaluated. I believe that the one piece bath is the only way I would go. For cleanliness, privacy, and environmental reasons, I think that the separate shower layout is a no go for me. In a one piece bath, the vent will allow the hot humid air from the shower out with no intrusion into the living space. It will also allow other types of noxious atmospheres to escape....
I have dated a bit, and all of the lady friends who spent any time in the RV commented favorably on the one piece bath. As did my kids. In winter, it REALLY makes a difference.
