I have a commercial progressive policy that's killing me at 2850 per year or 265 a month
Any real options for an expensive policy for a non professional conversion bus
It looks like I can get cheap from the General or maybe national general
But it's still Progressive at 465 a year but that looking like a bate and. Cancel game
From what ive been reading and that would hurt me with DMV and my wallet if they cancel it
Need real in site any body ideas I'm in New York

I'd check again with progressive. They have options for non professional conversion busses.
You might need to go to the DMV and get your bus retitled to an RV. The requirements for that will depend on your state.

There are insurance companies that specialize in writing policies for full time rv'ers.

The Escapee's Club currently recomends three companies to their members- Foremost Insurance, BancCorps South Insurance Services, and AIS RV Insurance.

The Family Motor Coach Association is another organization that offers RV insurance to their members.

Why not try getting some insurance quotes from them?

I'm assuming you're bus is registered as an RV.  If not, you should check with the NY DMV to see what's involved in registering it that way.

John

Thank you for help
I'm doing the Progressive option
But from what I'm reading on other groups is
They take your money then a week or two later
Cancel you at the moment I have two progressive policies
One the big commercial one
Two the cheap one the one for bus conversion other than professional
So at this time im Waiting to see what happens
So thank you for your input I can't do 265!a month

That was the road I almost went down. Ins co cancellation after 2 weeks. Progressive is the worst qbout it. How about a stepvan instead? I have Geico, they said no problem with a stepvan. It would be a commercial policy, but only $255 a year. Thats cheap for a 9500 vehicle.

Something like this can be found all day long for less than $5, 000
