Looking to introduce myself: a little confused using this forum so here goes. My name is Patti, am in mid TN plugged into my friend's house when needed (a/c!). Live in a Lance short bed sport on a ford 250 super-duty. Have a few loose ends to tie up then will head west approximately on the 22nd ish to visit friend's in west TX. Moved from house to camper--interesting. Almost divorced, my buddy BunBun rides shotgun (she's a Corgi).
Plan is to follow weather--have a aWalmart deep-cycle marine batt for now. It's cooling off so I don't feel the stress of trying to set up 2 Honda 2000's to run the a/c. The heat decimates me...decided on one Honda eu2000 to charge the house batt so don't have to use the diesel fuel on truck. Have downloaded the manual on this genny, and the ctek250ds battery charger. Question: does the Honda have a staged controller for this application? It it's safe for computers, phones. The ctek250 appears to be for solar, wind, alternator. The genny should take care of fridge (have to confirm), small a/c unit if necessary, nuker, small heater. If a charge controller is needed, any thoughts? Also any ideas on mounting, moving genny? Have a place to store it. Can block off fumes from interior somehow, access is exterior and there is a storage "tunnel" behind it. Can leave door open for venting. Also store the Lucas and funnel in there. Believe this would pretty much complete the set up. Cannot pick up genny because of pain issues. There is a way to do this, am almost there....... Patti
