Hey, hey everyone, greetings from British Columbia. 

I am a dirty, old bachelor, 7 years out from retirement and starting my 5 year plan to purchase, build-out, and move into a big, American cargo van. 

I have been lurking on youtube for years watching videos and learning. Now I am ready to put the plan into action. I figured this forum would be a huge asset, and hopefully I can contribute something too.

No plans of becoming a "Youtuber", just looking forward to spending most of my time in the back country fishing, exploring, and living free.

That's great. Where in BC? I was in the Keremeos and Summerland area for 5 years decades ago..

It's gotten unaffordable in the Lower Frasier now, all the way to Hope. Crazy.

If you've watched Chrome or that other Vancouver slow talkin' guitar intro guy on YT then you have a decent handle on things currently.

I'm central Kootenays - Trail / Castlegar area. Moved here a year ago from the lower mainland. I could not stand the high cost and heavy traffic anymore. It's nuts.

I have met Chrome, nice guy. I bumped into him at a Canadian Tire. I used to see him around Whiterock here and there too. I think the other guy may be Tomothy Keller. I have seen most of both channels for sure.
