Shown below is the Anker 21W solar panel.  Nice full sunny day today recharged the 26.8 battery completely.  There are 10 lights on the the battery indicating charge level, started charging it showing 4 lights.  I had recharged my mini iPad 3 times and iPhone twice to get it down to the 4 light charge level.  The panel has 3 USB ports you can plug things into charge.  Very satisfied with purchase.

This is awesome. I have a 2300 mAh, a 5600 mAh, and a 16000 mAh battery pack, but you can never have enough. I didn't know Anker made one as high capacity as the one you've got. They make good stuff. And I'm surprised that the panel charged it that quickly. That's great. Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome, I'm going to be ordering a 2nd one of each. The panel fits great on my dash as well.

I picked up a mophie powerstation 16000mah a little over a year ago.

I looked for a small solar panel at the time, similar to what you have. My intention was to just to throw it on the dash but I didn't find anything that anyone had successfully used to fully re-charge "through a windshield". Reviews said because of the glass/heat/ ??? it wouldn't fully recharge. I don't recall the wattage or brands I researched for a dashboard solar charger.

Anyway, I'm curious what the long term results will be using a 21w panel. How long have you been using solar with it and do you occasionally us 120v wall wart to re-charge the battery?

Side note, I eventually went to full solar, (roof panels, deep cycle GC pair for fans and Truckfridge)

Yday was the first time I recharged it with the solar panel, normally use 120, and was happy to see it fully recharged in one day of sun.  Not really worried about whether it works on the dash, if does that'll be a bonus.  :D  I'm Installing a 200 watt system as well.  I just like the size and economics of this Anker system to complement the whole system.

These multicell powerpacks are certainly neat.

One thing perhaps overlooked by the consumer is the AH rating is at 3.7v, the nominal voltage of an 18650 Lithium cell, and there appear to be 6 or 9 or 12 in these packs

There are conversion losses stepping upto 5v for USB charging too so some simple math does not really work for determining how much for how long these devices can power/recharge other devices.

I have a single cell 18650 portable USB power source for my Phone or Bluetooth speaker which comes in very handy.  I have a bunch of laptop battery pack extracted 18650's, but their capacity is too compromised to support much phone charging at 0.98amps at ~5v.  I have to use my better panasonic ncr18650b's  at 3400mah capacity to get the best service from it.

My usb power meter says these 3400mah cells can pass about 1600mah to phone before being too weak to continue supporting 4.75+ volts.  I'm lucky to get 500Mah from the the laptop extractions, when used on BT speaker which can only pull 0.4 amps at 5v.

It is neat to see how much voltage a USB source can maintain under heavier loads.  My fixed BlueSeas USB maintains over 5.15V and is by far the fastest phone charger when coupled with a short micro usb cable.

As always, good info SternWake. I haven't done anything real scientific but this power source seems to charge iPhone and iPad much faster than their own chargers do. Will see how it works out in the long run. This was my first experience with solar and was plum tickled that the system regained full charge in one days sunshine. Well balanced duo that gave me a bit more confidence in using solar power. Hope to have the same results with 200W panel and 125 Ah battery that will be primarily powering a CF 50 Dometic and Fantastic fan. Going to initially go with 1 battery.

I think it would be helpful to include some prices. how much is the battery? how much is the solar panel? I am curious. highdesertranger

Both on Amazon right now, battery $79.99 and panel $61.99. They must have upped the price a bit, think I only paid about $55 each.

Battery on sale right now $49.99 on Amazon (I'm not affiliated with Amazon so use someone who is.)

Anker 21 watt solar panel and 26800 (28.6 amp hours) power pack.

Solar panel has 2 USB ports.  Just plug in your phone and or tablet and recharge.  OR, you can charge the power pack.

The power pack recharges my IPhone 10 times or iPad 3 times.  More than enough to last all day and/or night.  The power pack has 3 USB ports.  If I recharge it with solar panel every morning it's usually fully charged before noon.  If I let it really draw down to 25% it takes a sun up to sundown day.

Great items, I've been using several months now.

Thank you! I was just searching Amazon last night looking for a solar solution, and now I've got it.
