Road: Dirt rock road. Some washboard but very manageable. First mile is the worst. Can accommodate any size rig.

There are 3 campgrounds and picnicking areas along the rim. Each site has a shelter, table, gravel path and fire grate. There are vault toilets in the campgrounds. No electrical hookups or running water. This is a beautiful campground with some spectacular views. New Mexico has very well maintained facilities.

What was the temperature like at that altitude?

That's a good question. I do not recall off hand the temps. However, I do remember being comfortable in my black van.
