An easy way to add outdoor space

These are a dime a dozen, but my first thought is this is the best one I've seen. The tension from the ridgeline is going to make it much more steady in wind. In fact in wind you could drop the pole some and angle the corners steeply so the wind glanced off more than caught it like it was a sail.

I used to do the kinda the same thing with my mini vans and regular van without the high top.

The mini vans I was able to use the roof racks to tie off to. The larger van I ran the ropes over the top and down the other side hooking into the wheel rims or anything else that would work.

The neat thing is when you've got a 10x10 shade tent and use one of the clear sides that you can get at most of the larger flea markets. Attach it to the tent frame and then over part of the roof. Gives you a shelter plus a rain free exit from the van.
