Thank you!  ^_^  Now I can start making biscuits and peach cobler again, as soon as I get a dutch oven.  This forum is rather awesome.

ah ok now you need to come to the RTR and share some of that peach cobbler.

actually I have a cast iron pie plate that fits inside my big Dutch oven and I bake regular pies.

Lots and lots of youtubes 3 years ago, re butane stoves and camping search.  If it's not true, maybe I should get a used dutch oven and give it a shot!  But at that time, I did not want to waste money testing the theory.  Just like aluminum foil causing alzheimers.

I don't like to see myself as arguing just to argue -- but I know it's happened before! -- but still, at least with cast iron you can probably find a cheap used one for 10 bucks at most at a charity store or what-not.  Why not grab something cheap and give it a try?
