I am thinking ahead to an awning suitable for setting up next to my potential vehicle.

Is there an awning (such as the EZ Up brand) which can be set up primarily for sun and rain protection, but which also has attachable bugproof screens? When I am in the East, summertime bugs are a huge nuisance.

This sounds like the ultimate miracle awning, but who knows, maybe it exists out there somewhere. Any suggestions?

don't they make screen rooms for the Easy Up's? the thing about Easy Ups is make sure you secure it wind and Easy Ups don't play well together. highdesertranger

This is a quality canopy that's been showing up at the race tracks lately. It offers many options including screen walls. Not the cheapest but has several grades.
No matter the grade or manufacturer, wind can screw these things up very quickly. Tie downs, weights, etc. are a must.

Thank you, johnny b. This is exactly what I had in mind. But it is more expensive than it first appears, however, as the canopy frame and fabric roof are not included in the initial price.

But the Euromax screen, with the additional purchases of a canopy and frame, may well be worth the price if it does the job of foiling those nasty hordes of skeeters and black flies on the East Coast. I am sure there are places in the West where those winged demons are a plague, too.

If a diy solution is of interest. 2 inch spring clamps and binder clips holding tarps and screen to an ez up' s legs works pretty well. Some splitshot fishing weights on the screen door overlapping. Nylon screen is not expensive.

I got over 10 years use from a generic ezee up. The blue top faded white and could be ripped by breathing too hard on it, but by then it had owed me nothing.

I prefer the straight leg version rather than the outward canted leg versions. Even though the latter is easier to erect and more stable.
