Hippiechk... had an accident last night near Superior, Montana ...she is okay, or as okay as you can be after totaling a mini van that is now a compact car. She hit ice.

She is now stuck in a motel there... Is there anyone close that can possibly help her with a ride or to help her get her personal stuff from what is left of her van. She is insured but that is not immediate help.

You can pm me

Awwwww man......

This sucks Joni!! Hope you're not shook up too badly. Wish I was closer to help out.

That's terrible, really sorry to hear that…. she can rebuild a vehicle, just glad she is ok!

Hi All, Thank y'all so much for your help.

Joni has gotten a ride to the van, picked up some clothes etc, it's hard at this time for her to remember everything she wanted and needed, now she is back at the motel.

We are in contact with a member here, I think we can work out the details, and get her home to B.C. Canada, with her belongings from the van.

We are so thankful for the kindness, concern and help from our tribe here, what a great bunch of friends we have here, Thank y'all, Duane & Joni

Great news Duane... thanks for posting this. If I don't talk to her first, send her my love and best wishes

Hi again,

We have made arrangements to get Joni home to Canada. Her roommate will be there tomorrow evening, spend the night, pick-up her belongings from the van and be home Friday evening.

Thank you so much Scar, for your volunteer of a ride home, It means so much to us that we have such wonderful Brothers and Sisters in our tribe. And thank you everyone for your help and best wishes.

With sincere appreciation, Joni & Duane AKA Hippiechk & Signman

Hi everyone, you are all wonderful! I'm going to be okay... I have another older van in Canada so I will have wheels. Today I am most grateful for guardrails because otherwise it was the side of a mountain...yikes!

Hugs,

Again, thanks scar or we would have a hippiechick hitch hiking in the cold. :D
Its hard to say there is a good part to this but you will get to pimp yer next ride now.

All the above posts are an EXCELLENT example as to the merits of belonging to a "tribe". WELL DONE !!

P.S. Hippiechick......Speedy recovery and hope ya get back on the road soon.

Joni, just got in from climbing all day and got your message. If the roommate doesn't work out let me know. You know where I am but I can be there in two shakes of a lambs tail. Michael

Damn Joni! I just read of your mishap. Glad you're safe. And best of luck on the moving around to BC.

Wishing you all the best.

Luv ya sweetheart.

You are all much better than pain meds! Thanks for being here...it really helps. My roomie will be here tomorrow with the 4X4 truck to get me and what gear I can salvage back to Canada. A lot looks bent or broken...upside, found my spare glasses still in their case, I can see what I'm writing.

I would not be alive if I didn't have my load ratchet strapped to the framework. What I don't ratchet gets hard tied with heavy duty elastic webbing. EMT had to cut out gear to reach me...they were happy right up until one hit my fire extinguisher which went off in Angie the Angel AKA medical leads face...and still she smiled.

This place is tiny, all of these people are volunteers and my heroes! It took from 6:45 until about 9 to dismantle the van and get me out. Also first on the scene were a young couple...maybe 25 max. They ripped the dashboard off in one grab to loosen my pinned left leg...made enough room to probably save my leg as it swelled to fill the space again before I was freed. Thank you Colton and Heather...to modest to give their last names. And To Steve who's 3 year old I could hear yelling..."Go Daddy you can save them!" Little guy must have gotten cold waiting! Superior, Montana is an awesome town!!!

Tonight I feel truly blessed! And very grateful!

Love you too Wade...and all of you!

Big Hugs...but gentle *smile*,

Wow, Joni, what a tale!
(((very gentle hugs))) SO glad you are ok!!!!:heart::heart:

OMG and I rarely use that. The universe will not let that happen and your destiny will not permit any harm to come your way just when you found happiness keep the faith. The RTR had it's moments but selling was out of the question. I stayed out of town as much as possible avoided people and did not do a dance in the dessert (sorry) I am. A photo to help you heal.
