Hi...I am Jean from JeanLivingSimple. I have lived in my 1971 Park Model Camper for over 16 years.
Back track 20 years.....I moved from Atlanta to raw land in NW GA. Lived in a tent for 5 months. Purchased a broke down bus and moved it to the land. Lived there (raw land) for 3 years. It was an incredible healing time in my life.
My sister and brother-in-law gave me a small camper which I moved to a KOA campground. I wasn't major happy there.
Then I got a small inheritance. I found this 1971 Park Model Camper for $4,000. Moved it to a spot owned by a friend of the family.
Been there almost 17 years.
Yes...you can live this life without traveling.

Hello, Jean.

Welcome. Sounds like you've got minimalist and "country" living down pat.

There have been a few threads lately in which forum members have voiced an interest in finding a piece of land to create a home base or more permanent small dwelling. I bet you could offer a lot from your voice of experience.

Jean,
I just visited your JeanLivingSimple Facebook page. It was the first thing that came up when I Googled the reference to you blog.

Then I clicked to watch the YouTube Tour of your camper. When I saw the wall of Reflectix, I knew you were one of the tribe even tho you do not travel. LOL

When you wrote "park model" I thought of a larger type mobile home, but you have done an incredibly artist interior on the camper. Seems you have shore power and perhaps a water/sewer hook up, but your space looks just a bit larger than most of us occupy.

I'll look up your blog and look for some further YouTube videos. I have long loved the saying your Tour video ends with -- Be the change you want to see in this world.

We have traveled but also have lived in a parked motor home for twelve years living simply. Best years of our lives. Happy to see and hear your perspective.
