The tone of a post can be difficult to pick up sometimes /often.

i use a smiley face or a tongue face even in a text to family and friends to indicate my tone when walking along the border.

saves me alot of explaining and hurt feelings.

Is that a thing?  Someone else posting your post on another forum?
