It looks like it's a '94 or newer to me, I thought Dodge changed the front end after '93?

I went to see it and you know what it does look like the 94 model.

Check the section for the Third Generation.

I kind of like the schoolbus door and I'm tempted to build over the side doors.

We drove it and it roared!  It's an automatic and I walked it gently up the gears then on the way back opened it up and got the overdrive to fire in.

He doesn't want to go under $2000.  He says if he can't sell it he'll pull the motor and use it for a sports car and junk it.

It needs some work to make it usable.
tires (he's got a full spare for it and THAT tire is in decent shape)
should probably just go ahead do the belts hoses and plugs for preventative measures
remove seats and lift
It must be cleaned.  It's been sealed up for years in the North Carolina summers.  There is a fine dust of mold everywhere.

It needs some sanding and some paint but otherwise there is no body rust.

I don't know any mechanics.  I don't know the area.  It can't be driven far as the tires MUST be replaced and I live an hour away.

I need to price out some of the following
What this will do to my insurance
How much the tires will cost
What it's going to take or cost to replace the belts, hoses, plugs etc.

I do wonder what he'll want to do the labor to take the seats and lift off.

Any suggestions?

If you know anybody in that area, call them and see if they know a decent mechanic.  Check the reviews online.  If you want to skip this, ask yourself if you can absorb the loss, if necessary.

"It's been sealed up for years in the North Carolina summers."  WARNING!  WARNING!

If it hasn't been driven, some of the main seals may have dried out and shrunk, rendering them virtually useless.  What's your plan if all the oil runs out and the engine blows?

The mold is a problem.  It really is.

It took three tries but I found a mechanic with a lift and ceiling big enough to handle it.

I told the kid to take it there and i would pay to have the inspection done.

I'm wondering if $4000 would just put me in a better vehicle to start.  It's going to be hard to find that hi top again in a 16 passenger van though.
