1. The media picks up on what their viewers WANT to see -- I do not think it is a matter of the media deciding what to "feed" us but rather responding to what brings in an audience (and therefore ad revenues for them).

I'm afraid I can't completely agree with that assessment.  The New York Daily News is very consistent on taking every opportunity to demand more gun control after any incident that they can exploit,  They keep this up for DAYS after the other papers have moved on and forgotten about the incident.  They are also hemoraging money and readers, and I like to think there is a relationship between those two facts, but the hoplophobes running the paper don't seem to care.

Trust me 66788 (like that's your real name LOL) the last place you would want to invade would be one of Mr. LooRead's campsites in the winter months in Florida.

When you have two men over 6'2" that weigh close to 300 pounds, a large male German Sheppard, a Belgian Malinois. with assorted handguns, assault rifles and machetes, that also look pretty creepy like extras from the movie Deliverance, no one would in their right mind would even think of causing ANY trouble.

We were a creepy bunch.  Of course some of us wear pajamas all day so how scary can that be?
