Solarblvd in Norco, California, has 320 watt Cynergy monocrystal solar panels, made in the USA, new in the box, for $109.00 each.   That's 34 cents per watt.

I just ordered one on my neighbor's shipping bill, as he ordered 7 of them, so shipping for me will be about $30.00.

They are oversize for UPS, so shipping must be via truck.   It probably won't pay to get just one, but as a group buy the price is right.

Since they are not 12v panels, you would need an MPPT charge controller for mobile applications.

Web site for Solarblvd

How are you going to mount them?
They're listed as "Glass front, Semi Flexible Frameless Laminates".

Seems like a component for a DIY build out.   :s

They list 2 different Cynergy panels on the web site. The ones we bought are with frame, the other is not.

Oops, my bad.

Let us know how it works out....definitely the lowest price i've seen....plus it says 'Made in USA'

That is just a sick price if you are local and can pick them up. I'd love to see the real time peak output in both sunny and overcast conditions. I do appreciate the Made in USA label for two reasons. One, they are made here, nuff said. Two, a while back I read that to stay afloat some of the Chinese manufactures were using substandard materials and untested coatings. They don't mention who so I am glad my Navajoes are made here and I avoid it all together.

In my job I work with a lot of Chinese electronic devices. The workmanship is first quality for the most part, but the real weakness of Chinese products is the poor quality of the materials used. Foreign solar panels have always bothered me and like you, I buy only name brand panels made in the USA.

That IS a sick price. Even with shipping. Good for you! Hope they work out.

The panels arrived by truck and are awesome looking. Well packed with excellent aluminum frames. I would put photos up, but I don't have an external photo storage site and this forum makes it difficult to post photos absent that.

When I first started buying solar panels the cost was roughly $5.00 per watt. I bought these 320 watt panels with 17% efficiency, made in the USA, and with strong frames for 34 cents per watt. Still seems hard to believe.

I hope that sale goes on for a bit! I want to buy 2 of those panels! I was almost going to buy the cells and solder my own so I could afford a 600 watt system.

Do you know what the shipping weight per panel was?

I believe they are 45-55 lbs per panel. They come on a pallet with an OSB protective board banded on top to protect the cells.

I ended up calling them and it would cost me more to ship them up here than the panels cost. He did state that the deal is great for those who can pick up or don't have to ship far. The sale is going to last until supplies are gone.

I'd be cautious, there is a reason why they are selling them super cheap. Either their being discontinued or a pos. If it's discontinued and the company is no longer around that means no warranty, if it craps out you are shiz out of luck.
