Not my van but a very interesting electric express van.

This is a Chevrolet hybrid, electric 2500 Express that is sold through Via motors. Called Vtrux and they are only produced for sale to fleets, not general public. This van was over $90,000 new. Via Motors is located in Utah. Website is www.viamotors.com. The driveline is fully electric, the 4.8 liter V8 engine only runs a generator. The generator allows unlimited range, but on a full charge after being plugged into the charger (The charger is included and you can also plug into any typical electric vehicle charging station as well), the van will go approximately 35 miles on only battery power before starting the engine for running generator. You will notice in picture there are two 30 amp receptacles on van that will provide 14.4kw of generator power which can be used to power a house, campsite, power tools, welder etc. This van has 16K miles, backup camera, cruise, power locks, power tinted windows etc. It is in very good condition, no accidents, needs nothing. Clear title. Call or text 816- nine85-775nine

They didn't drive it far in 4 years. I got a great deal on my van used fleet van with a broken radio - no one would drive it with no tunes on board.

I don't like the idea of running a V8 as a generator. That seems redundant. Seller does not state mpg, maybe it does make sense??   -crofter

its interesting though.

In 2015, VIA launched the GM Silverado pick-up truck and express van. With the series hybrid drivetrain, each vehicle is driven by our VDRIVE system with an all electric range of 35-40 miles and a total range of 300-350 miles.
