I am considering the purchase of a 2012 Ford E-250 extended cargo van with 197,000 miles. I'm looking for a van to take long (weeks or months) camping trips with mountain bikes. I like the room of a big van and being able to secure everything inside. Biggest concern is MPG. Fuelly indicates I might be able to get around 15 mgb if I drive it gently. I could throw a mattress, cooler, portable stove and bucket in the back and be on my way, but I do like the idea of upgrading it myself over time. Seller is asking price is $6000 which is on the low end of the KBB pricing. There is a crack in the windshield and a few rust spots but otherwise it seems really good. $6k is more than I was hoping to spend but if this is reliable and I can run it for a long time then it might be worth it. Thoughts?

P.S. As this is my first post I'd appreciate knowing about anything I'm doing wrong. I used imgur to post the pictures as I didn't know how to insert them directly into the post. Thanks

Welcome to the CRVL forums James!  I deleted the link in your first post because new members must have at least 10 posts before including links. This is mostly to stop spam although I realize you are not a spammer. :)  Here are some ways to attach photos: https://vanlivingforum.com/showthread.php?tid=13285

And some helpful information here:  "Tips, Tricks and Rules".   We look forward to hearing more from you.

Sort of like stopping at a stop sign when you can see for miles around and there is no one coming isn't it.

6k is a little steep if it was solid and no glass problems it's fair. Keep checking the ocean there's bound to be more fish.

I kind of agree. Clicking on the link would obviously show that the link was legit, but rules are rules. Bur aren't rules made to be broken?
