1994 Airstream 190

[Gonna Jump]

Going to look at 1994 Airstream 190 w/ 93,300 miles. Seller says he has all maintenance records since new. It's in Chandler, AZ, I'm in Tucson. Anyone know a good RV mechanic in Chandler area who can check it out? Van has Ford E 350 engine. I would love any and all opinions, advice , and general wisdom. Thanks!

I have an awesome mechanic/owner (Brian) in Chandler, Slaughter Auto (602) 828-2999 Mon-Fri 6:30am-5pm. I've been going to him for several years, actually worked on my mother's caddy for free. He knows his stuff...however not *technically* an RV mechanic. Give him a call to find out or get a referral. If he doesn't know of one or won't look at it, call Automotive Diagnostic Specialties (480) 961-8704. Both places are just east of I-10 on Chandler Blvd. Chances are they can lead in the right direction, hopefully.

If those are dead-ends, let me know, I can contact a friend/body guy that works at a Camping World (he has done bodywork on family's vehicles and mine too); see if I can find a lead for you from him outside of Camping World.

Van has Ford E 350 engine.

 You probably read this from the emblem on the fender. E 350 actually designates it's being an Econoline one ton van chassis.
The engine is most likely a 460. The mechanic you find should be able to tell you for sure.
