Blars said spades aren' t designed for many cycles.
When spade terminals get loose they can be squeezed gently with pliers to make them tight again. They are so inexpensive they can be replaced without any concern for the cost.
Regular household 120 volt outlets don't last forever. I unplug stuff when not in use. I have worn out two kitchen outlets with a coffee pot and one bathroom outlet with an electric shaver. I am not a fan of the connection reliability of regular outlets.
