    A heating pad, minimal current draw, will make your bed or sleeping bag nice and toasty. They throw off a surprising amount of heat even on low.     The little crab came sidesteppin thru our campsite in Marathon, the Starfish walking in Jax, Iguana at camp in Marathon, Manatee in. Silver River, Gator on St. John’s River about a 10 footer shot off the bank and hit the water like a telephone pole just missing the skiff.

    We went with a company called Global Rescue, about $500 a yr. for 2. and an ACR Rescue Link. We each carry a 2M walkie talkie in our packs loaded with SAR and other emergency channels. Getting and emergency extraction is one thing, paying for it is a whole different matter.
