I have a minivan and use a hatch tent and secure with magnets to seal nicely and also use a screen tent for more area. Potty-I use a bedpan with a portable bidet and a funnel into a big mouth aluminum bottle for urine. I don't set all this stuff up unless I am in a 14 day boondocking site.

I part time van camp with my 60# poodle and we are testing the travel still. He does well. I use a zipline at our camp spots sometimes, also a 9x12 mesh tent for a patio effect, lots of hiking or walks at breaks and camp sites, I keep an anti anxiety collar on him too. So far so good.
