So far I'm really liking the glue gun and when using the Stanley glue sticks it is tough to beat for sticking stuff together! Glue gun review from AvE skookum! Glue stick comparison from Project Farm

application of liquid desiccants for cooling!!!

True, but where that energy come from makes a huge difference. For cooling, heat is always just being moved around and the COP makes a huge difference which they are saying is being doubled in certain contexts. Plus if I can dry the desiccant with solar thermal power which does not take the ~80%...

Ryobi One+18v Power Tools. Which ones do you carry?

Just getting started on buying Ryobi power tools (cordless only) to carry with me in my travels and wondering which ones folks have found useful on the road? So far I have bought these ones which seemed like possibilities: Impact driver (brushless)  Drill (brushless) Angle Grinder (brushless) ...

application of liquid desiccants for cooling!!!

Looking at this new video and seeing some amazing possibilities for van/rv/trailer builds once it's made smaller :)  Especially if you use solar thermal for the desiccant drying stage would lead to a very low electrical/power requirement.

Average Miles Per Gallon for Class C and B+ RVs?

Just for fun, I have a 7300 lb (max) SUV towing a 9000 lb (max) trailer and get about 9 mpg doing 65. If I slow down it goes up a bit but I've never really needed/wanted to :) SUV gets about 14-15 otherwise (she is thirsty, lol)

    Code Enforcement Officer...72 Hour Rule...

Point taken Debbie! I should be out of here by the end of April and back on the road. I was supposed to be out of here at the beginning of January for the RTR. Storage is definitely an option, just not one I would prefer... I'm fine to keep moving the trailer as long as it's legal and not going...

    Code Enforcement Officer...72 Hour Rule...

Dextours that was my thinking as well! Though the placard is usually in the truck with me and if I hitch up that may dissuade them from doing anything untoward :)

    Code Enforcement Officer...72 Hour Rule...

I thought about recording all future conversations with the CEO but CA would require me to notify her of it (which could go either way, frankly). We also thought about having her on speaker phone and have my Mom listening as well and taking notes of the conversation (corroborating witness with...

    Code Enforcement Officer...72 Hour Rule...

Thanks for the replies! Ways she could be less than honorable and tow me: Issue up to 5 tickets and not give them to me (legally they can tow for 5 outstanding tickets) Ignore that it has been moved then moved back (not sure how she would monitor this, but I have my camera watching the rig...

    Code Enforcement Officer...72 Hour Rule...

Here is a link to the sheriffs office rules... https://www.montereysheriff.org/vehicle-tips/abandoned-vehicles/ Suprisingly, the section about improperly stored personal property does not list any code sections which I find fascinating, lol. Here seems to be a list from CHP as to the code...

    Code Enforcement Officer...72 Hour Rule...

Hi All! I've been waylaid back at my Moms for a while now as she needed some help when her assistant quit unexpectedly (~November...) and I seem to have upset a neighbor (don't know who as they haven't said anything to me) who keeps calling the Code Enforcement Officer in my local berg. I'm not...

    push down mixer...wisk...blender

True the frother isn't great for batters, lol. Though I usually just use a wooden spoon for stuff that is that thick. But for a small quantity of eggs/cream/milk, it works well :) Also if I need something really thick beaten up I pull out the stick blender.

    Refrigerate after Opening... Lies?

I've found that for many products there is a requirement for refrigeration after opening, and a lot of them are just trying to cover the manufacturers legally. Which ones have you found that fall into that category? I've seen that most high acid foods/sauces generally will be fine, though you...

    Kerosene heaters?

Kerosene heaters do indeed seem to be illegal in CA. Though that seems to only apply to residences and specifically space heaters (not sure on central heaters). They seem to be perfectly legal in garages and barns etc. though. http://www.fire.ca.gov/aeu/downloads/NR_StayWarmSafely.pdf
