Just bought it.  Sounds interesting. It was .99 on kindle, I couldn't resist.  I love book buying instant gratification :)

Girls' Room Chit Chat Jumble Thread

Sorry....we can't help it :) You could always try to do what my father did once when he got really frustrated at the garage door. Put your car in reverse and the pedal to the metal and back through the garage door (without opening it first).

If you're talking about a residential (at your house) garage door opener, nearly all of them have a release cord (usually red) that you can use to get the garage door to open manually. It's in case of power outages, but you can use it other times. You pull the cord and then you'll need to heft...

    Similar Forums?

Ditto.  There seems to be a fair amount of crossover between that subreddit and this forum. But this forum seems a bit more polite and friendly.

As an added bonus, your vehicle/home would always smell of potato chips. (Mmmmm potato chips *drool*)

    $5000 + desire for a minivan = ?

Holy Carp!! I can't imagine being in a wreck like that! I'm glad you're ok :D I think the Honda Odyssey just moved up in my estimation. Right now I'm sort of torn between the Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna (saving my pennies and watching Craigslist).

    $5000 + desire for a minivan = ?

LOL...I was thinking the same thing, only 7k-8k.  I live near San Francisco.

Conor and Brittany and their adorable RV named Winnie? (If it's not, you should check them out.  Search "Conor and Brittany", they have good individual channels too.)

    Woman's Forum: Potty Issues

TMI, but I can use the pstyle hands-free, my chubby thighs hold it in place for me. (Finally a benefit to being overweight! lol) I think the shewee has a tubing extension that you can use. It's just regular tubing you could get at Home Depot. I could see using a length of tubing and then...

    Woman's Forum: Potty Issues

(Oops, I initially posted this reply in a different thread, how embarrassing!) It was mentioned on page one, but I think a pstyle is pretty easy to use. I use one if I'm out hiking and the bathrooms are either non-existant or are disgusting. It's basically just a plastic chute, kind of like...

    Soon to be vandweller (hopefully).

I'm sure I'll have a lot more questions once I've actually got a vehicle lol. But thanks everyone for the warm welcome :)

Women Only: Lets talk about shaving!

I like it because I just look like I have a totally normal haircut.  (see avatar pic) The only time anyone knows it's shaved is if I have my hair pulled up in a pony tail or a hat. I had a salon buzz it the first time, but now I just use a Wahl electric shaver I got at Target. It's really quite...

Women Only: Lets talk about shaving!

I just shave the bottom part at the back of my head.  It makes summers a lot more tolerable :)

Women Only: Lets talk about shaving!

I shave my head more often than I shave my legs lol. I shave my legs about 3 or 4 times a year, usually in the very hottest part of the summer when I want to wear shorts. Otherwise, nobody will see my furry legs except my husband and my kid, and they don't care. I shave my armpits about once a...

Have you tried aerosol deodorant? My MIL swears by it, as does pretty much every British or European lady I know (a fair few). I think the theory is that aerosol does a better job of getting to your skin, where as stick/roller deodorants just kind of coat the underarm hair.

    Sportsball

Having spent 6 years living in Columbus Ohio (home of The Ohio State University), I know exactly what you mean. I didn't go to OSU, and I don't give a rat's patootie about college level football.  But my coworkers all thought I should be "buckeye crazy" like they were.

I don't understand how anyone can watch golf on TV. I can almost, sort of, kind of, see the appeal of playing golf, if you need an excuse to take a nice leisurely stroll. But watching it on TV? I'd rather watch paint dry. We like watching soccer/football and rugby on TV (My husband's from...
