Right around 12:34 in the video he mentions Montana (and possibly others) clamping down on LLC and presumably 15 501 c3 tax exempts who use that
in order to write off the cost of such large RV's. I figure that will dampen the sales of many RV's.

In the past anyone could visit the "Universal Life Church" on line and within five minutes become an ordained minister for free. Then they could buy a big RV and use their family (as secretary & treasurer) where they were the executive officer and conform to the requirements of a not for profit and enjoy the RV life in a big RV.

I'm wondering what this will do to the National Parks when the census of users falls off ? Will the timber industry want to come in and clear crop sections of the park ? This happened in the early 1980's when James G. Watt the Secretary of the Interior wanted to promote this.

From a Google Search:
The RVIA projects that RV shipments will range from 311,600 to 336,600 units in 2024 and 329,900 to 363,300 units in 2025. The global RV market is expected to grow from $49.69 billion in 2024 to $69.23 billion by 2032

In the trucking business, we have had "Certified Clean Idle" technology for many years, meaning, the emissions controls and DPF filters on the newer Class 8 trucks are able to scrub the exhaust to the point that in the LA basin, where air pollution can be thick under certain conditions, the air coming OUT of the exhaust was cleaner than the 'fresh air' going into the engine air intake.

That's not the case in a cleaner environment, but it occurred in the more smog prone areas.

These new heavy duty diesel engines are very clean...in fact, the little APU engine (on-board generator) puts out more pollutants than the main engine does, per hour of operation.

The CARB standards have gotten very tight the last 10-15 years and it's not getting any better for petroleum burning engines there.

It’s just the big Class A’s isn’t it? 5 miles /gallon rigs? Polluting the universe? And that’s not counting the Toad.

Past due for them hi $$$ peeps to downsize. They can get a compact EV or a bicycle and Walmart tents are cheap. Better yet a Lowe’s camo tarp.

Yep; lose the deesul pushers & Freeze dried food, too for em. Most of them could go a month without eating would do them good.

Walk, back pak & a tarp: back to the basix

sayin
bch bum jon

This is yet another loss of your freedoms in this country. With their ready/ shoot/ aim mentality, they will quickly ruin the states even more.
CALIF CARB just passed a measure at 10PM on a Friday night to raise the already high gas prices by another $.65 per gallon on top of the $1.38 taxes they have in place.

You may not want or need a motor home like this but maybe someone else might but now can't. CA keeps digging a hole which is now a huge sink hole financially and losing tax payers every day. I've lived here all my life and my kids are close by with grand kids ( one due tomorrow) so unfortunately I choose to stay here, family over madness, but we would leave today if we could....This state is a mess..

He did not say Montana is cracking down on LLCs, he only said other states try to crack down on Montana LLC route. Montana loves LLCs.

Sinkhole is a good way to describe this state. I'm not even comfortable camping there anymore because of how crazy people are there and lack of gun carry rights encourages these behaviors and police loves to protect the criminals. Had crazy experience camping there lately and that in remote isolated places, like nut cases trying to camp right in my campsite in the middle of nowhere, while entire area was empty and got other spots. In Idaho they'd get shot probably.

So I just read this article

https://www.rv.com/rv/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-california-rv-ban/

I thought this was just for diesel.

My cousin through the grapevine I hear is going to get an RV. He is a travel nurse in CA. He probably is going with class B knowing him. But his dog is medium - large size he would need a C a think. He can afford new but will get a 24 or older If he has to because of the ban. Or travel nurse out of state and do register it that way according to the article.

This sucks. If this ban is say forever lol. For example when I retire 10 yrs from now. I can upgrade only to a used 24 or older motorhome.

Large RV owners pay lots in taxes - from payroll to state and local taxes. A big part of road maintenance is paid by the big rigs. They eat out a lot, attend sporting events, pay for premium campsites, pay for skilled labor, etc. They support all kinds of businesses and pay dearly to subsidize lots of others. I don't fit this profile, but it is accurate for the most part. I do have a large RV and a big diesel to tow it.

I think a bit of sensationalism right now but it all should be resolved soon. My understanding it affects only new stuff and not even registration just CA dealers...can buy used or buy out of state...lots of battles related to EV nonsense ahead, one needs to get used to working around the gubimint stuff.

...MOTORHOME BAN Just WEEKS AWAY...
.
I think we ought to ban bureaucrats.
.
Some folks call them 'bumblebrats', but that group are bolder than I, so I would never.
.
And another thing.
Who else besides bumblebrats see our atmosphere as 'resources'.
I bet somebody in 'Human Resources' had a horridly-awful nightmare about air going around all unregulated and unregistered and free and eating too many carbs, and next morning, sharpened their favorite -- registered! regulated! -- Number Two pencil and scribbled a way to tax it.
.
Hence, California Air Resources Bureaucrats.
Or bumblebrats.
Your choice.
.
Some folks might say bumblebrats deserve a 'board' across the fanny.
I would never, of course, but some might.

And speaking of complicating stuff just because you think you can get away with it:

Joe, the wonderful and hilarious host of RVing With Joe, discusses the elimination of RecreateVehicles in his California home-town of San Rafael (just north of Frisco (now known as San Franeedle (motto : 'Watch Where You Step!'))).
.
Apparently, RecreateVehicles interfere with pedestrian and emergency vehicle traffic, so they are !!! BANNED !!!.
.
Of course, as always, if you buy a permit, those pedestrian and emergency vehicle interferences magically disappear.
