Well, The woods arent as isolated as I thought (thunk) (past tense); Anyway, I had set up my charcoal grill and was fixin to do me a burger when another small camper came easing down my little trail (track, path), turns out that other people like me just want to spend a little isolated time.
This other people turned out to be a lady alone with a odd looking camper, sort of a bulgie front that tapered off to a sloapping back end, and just like me was going to just be alone for a bit. . any way, she. it went on by to out of sight and sound. suited me just fine.
It's the next day now and breakfast time (late morning) when this person came trudging up the track and stopped to ask if I knew how far this track went cause she didn't want to get trapped further than she had gone the evening before.
Anyway, I didn't know, we visited for a bit and she went back where she had come from, Later today here she came with her little camper, she told me that it was called a tear drop and she did not wish to go further for fear of getting stuck.
Anyway, it was near dark, so she pulled by me a bit and parked. I have solar pannels and a generator to run a coffee pot, microwave and enought batteries to keep my fridge/freezer going for 2 or 3 days including lighting. computer ect.
All she had was one of those batteries in a box that she kept charged by plugging into a lighter plug while she was driving. Not a long term setup was my opinion. Anyway, I'm creaping up on 86 and she was 79. Pretty well assembled I thought for 79. ( I did not stop being a man)(men notice these things) She walks better than I do.
Any way, we are going to travel together into the U.P. for a while (Upper pensula of Michigan), camping along the way as old people do, untill I head slonch ways to warmer weather and she wants to do something else. She has a kid in Minnasota.
Ok nothing long term here but spending some time with her suited me just fine. There were details that will remain between us old people as they should. Might cross paths again later this trip, maybe not.
