So Cal
Hi, my name is Rose, car dwelling in So Cal with my husband. We just purchased a Chevy Express, and my head hurts with all of the work ahead. Looking forward to being a part of this forum, and learning from those who have done the diy van builds. The van definitely has more room than our Grand Marquis.....I'm excited!

Welcome to the Van Living Forum

Will you all be keeping the car to tow behind the Van ?

There is plenty of information here on a huge number of topics for you to benefit from.
Take your time with building the Van and consider your floor plan well before building.
My first Van was small and I laid it out so I could stand with my back to the side doors
and pivot left to the bed, right to the drivers compartment, and straight ahead to the kitchenette.
It was just me and it served me well. Today it would be called a "no-build" as it wasn't insulated or paneled. I wasn't living in it in the dead of winter.

Since summer time is coming you may want to do a simple build to get on the road to travel, sight see, and camp some. This will also allow for a "shake down" cruise for your Van to make sure it is stable and dependable. (if you didn't purchase it new)

Good Luck

Welcome. You will find lots of help here for questions and issues that come up during your build. But do try to keep your head from hurting so much 🙂
