How do you run the electric wires in a passenger van without covering up the windows?
Wiring a windowless cargo van seems so simple. And a passenger van already has factory wiring for the taillights, interior lighting, etc.

So, assuming the house batteries are behind the driver's seat, low and between the axles, what are the likely runs for:
Solar lighting at the front of the roof? Down the A pillar at the windshield and under the carpet? Just guessing.
A roof fan at the back of the van? Down the D pillar at the rear driver's side to the floor and along the wall?
A circuit to the rear passenger side? Under the carpet?
Ceiling LED lights (lighting while parked)? Under the headliner and down a pillar on the driver's side?

Are there any other methods that can result in wiring runs that are not long and complicated?

Welcome. Please head over to the newcomers corner and introduce yourself.

Do not under any circumstances run wire under carpet. Running wire in a window van is the same as a cargo. If passenger, the plastic trim and the headliner needs to be removed for access to the ribs and channel at the top. I don't remember if there is a channel at the bottom. Attach wires to the ribs and then run across to where needed at the roof support ribs. Fishing the pillars can be done too but be mindful if you have to put a screw in the rib (pillar), you may well screw into the wire. If holes are drilled to get a wire through, a rubber grommet is needed to protect the wire from chafing. Look how the factory ran their wire and use the same principals.
