If you really want to understand mobile windpower, you have to research windpower on sailing yachts. They have been at that game for decades. Solar has it's place on cruising yachts, but deck space is at a premium, so there usually isn't room for large solar panels. Fortunately, sailboats frequent locations with reliable wind.
I haven't seen a windturbine on a masthead in years. Most mount them on a pole tall enough to keep the blades from striking people moving about on deck.
When I lived aboard, my neighbor had a good quality wind turbine and I recall it as being a bit noisy. Not enough to complain about, but noticeable.
If you go down this road, bring plenty of cash. Back when I was looking at them, reliable, reasonably quiet wind turbines that didn't require a gale to produce useful amounts of power were expensive. Maybe things have changed on that account, but I'd be surprised if the offerings on Amazon meet the above criteria.
